What has happened to Zambian music?

Recent Visit to Zambia
Just came back from visit of Zambia in November 2011. I was fascinated with the 'Zambianised' Rap music that has taken over the airwaves of Zambian television. I met former W.I.T.C.H band lead vocalist Jagari Chanda and discussed at length the current music industry in Zambia. I was surprised to learn that 'Zamrock' from the 70s and 80s has sparkle some interest in North America.     keep posting in this blog. we value your memories about the music in Zambia in the 70s.

      Hey Patrick,
      In Strasbourg, France, there's a whole community organizing garage/psyche rock underground concerts. The interest towards Zamrock is really impressive. Would the band gather once more and come here, playing a wonderful gig?

    The Witch music , Movin' On and Kuomboka has now been re-released world-wide. Its been a humbling experience to see this music recognised and received so well by music lovers around the globe.
